Heroes

Humans have progressed as a race through the guidance of remarkable people. These people are responsible for every development that mankind has gone through. Leaders like this are often thought of as heroes, so it is only natural that the concept of the "hero" was translated into literature, developing over time.

As this class is a study of literature and important texts that carry themes relevant to society and the people who live in it, the topic of heroes and heroism is quite profoundly displayed in every text we have read. This leads me to the conclusion that, "heroes" are the main theme of this course, as we use their messages and lessons to further relate to deeper meanings within the challenges we must face within our own lives.
